He is a veteran show hunter, talented, adjustable, automatic. He is also a schoolmaster in many aspects of hunter/jumper and dressage riding, patient and obedient for novice riders, and a seasoned competitor with higher-level riders.
My riding ability falls somewhere between novice and experienced, and he is the best teacher I could ask for. Mo has a good sense of humor, loves to play games, cuddle and flirt, which makes him something like a 1200 pound lap dog. Most days. Some days he is, well, completely loco, but I’m thankful he is still young and athletic enough to have some willies in his butt.
We train with Alejandro Salazar — www.ranchopuravida.com — and we have come a long way together in Alejandro’s program.
Mo and I have lots of adventures, as you will see …
- Mo doing a “shoulder-in” with our trainer Alejandro on board
- Our first blue ribbon winning a senior (me, not him) pleasure class, spring 2009
- My mom and sister visiting us at a horse show, Oct 2011
- Showing in training level dressage
